Who Is This For?

Signup Experience

Figma account required -- FigJam is bundled with Figma so no separate signup. Free tier allows 3 FigJam files with unlimited collaborators on a board. First board with templates for brainstorming and retrospectives is ready within 2 minutes.

For Home Users

Free tier covers 3 boards with real-time collaboration -- genuinely useful for personal brainstorming or side project planning with collaborators. The template library for retrospectives, mind maps, and flowcharts is accessible without paying. Home users hitting the 3-file limit can delete old boards to stay on free.

For Business Users

Professional at $5/editor/mo (billed annually) includes unlimited FigJam files alongside full Figma access. Teams already paying for Figma get FigJam at no extra cost. Miro has more diagramming depth and a larger template library for complex enterprise workflows. FigJam wins for design teams already in Figma who want lightweight whiteboarding without switching tools or paying for another platform.

Our Verdict

FigJam is the obvious choice if your team is already in Figma. The integration is seamless and the tool is genuinely delightful to use. For teams outside the Figma ecosystem, Miro offers more features and integrations. The free tier with 3 boards is enough for most small teams to try it properly.
