Signup Experience

Email signup with a free tier available, no credit card required. Free tier is restricted to one active device at a time -- switching devices requires logging out on the previous one. Browser extension installs quickly. Import from other password managers covers CSV and common formats. Interface is clean and minimal.

For Home Users

Free tier single-device limitation is the main friction point. Premium at $1.49/mo on a 2-year plan is among the cheapest paid password managers. xChaCha20 encryption and independent Cure53 audits give it strong security credentials. Family plan at $2.79/mo for 6 users is excellent value. A solid choice for NordVPN users who want to stay in the Nord Security ecosystem.

For Business Users

Teams at $1.99/user/mo and Enterprise at $3.99/user/mo are price-competitive. Business plans include admin console, user provisioning, activity logs, and SSO on Enterprise. Less mature than 1Password or Bitwarden for enterprise deployment but the pricing is hard to argue with. Best for SMBs looking for a budget-friendly business password manager with reasonable security credentials.

Our Verdict

NordPass is a solid, affordable password manager — but Bitwarden is free and open-source, making it hard to justify. The 2-year pricing at $1.69/mo is genuinely competitive, and the breach scanner and passkey support are useful. If you're already a NordVPN user, NordPass bundles nicely. Otherwise, Bitwarden free or 1Password offer better value.
